At KIDS WHO CAN we facilitate courses for children that are designed to help them manage stress while promoting their self-esteem. In stressful times like these, our children need tools to cope - tools that are easy to learn and apply. When children don’t have coping skills, they begin to internalise their feelings. When these feelings are full of worry and fear, they can have devastating effects on our kids.  

The lessons are structured and consist of sharing circles, stories, role play and creativity, ensuring the children have fun while learning.

Some of what the course covers:

  • Tools to help reduce stress and anxiety

  • Self-calming techniques  

  • How to deal with bullying

  • Tools to cope with anger & other uncomfortable feelings

  • Self-protection and body awareness

  • Self-esteem and self-confidence

TERM 4

Managing change and building resilience


Age 6 to 10 (grade 1 to 4)

  • Imhoff's Gift, 8-week course: 4:30pm to 6:00pm

      Starts on Tuesday, 15th October 2024​​​

  • Constantia, 8-week course: 4:00pm to 5:30pm

      Starts on Monday 14th October 2024​

  • Gardens, 4-week course: 4:00pm to 5:30pm

      Starts on Tuesday, 15th October 2024​

COST​

Age 6 to 10 (grade 1 to 4)

8-weeks

The lessons are 90 mins long and there will be 1 session a week for 8 consecutive weeks.

Cost of the full course is R2 900 upfront and R3 000 over 2 months. 
4-weeks

The lessons are 90 mins long and there will be 1 session a week for 4 consecutive weeks.

Cost of the full course is R1 500.

Please note: 

* For the 8-week course, we offer a 2 month payment plan if required.

* We take a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 children per group.

* A group will only go ahead if we have the minimum number of participants.

* We offer a 30% discount if you host the group at your home.
